Information Technology

"In education, technology can be a life-changer, a game changer, for kids who are both in school and out of school. Technology can bring textbooks to life. The Internet can connect students to their peers in other parts of the world. It can bridge the quality gaps." - Queen Rania of Jordan

At Medowie Christian School, we are always thinking of ways to leverage technology which aligns with our core values, supports our school community in all aspects of the learning process, and in turn creates an adept learning community.

We appreciate that the ICT industry has grown in leaps and bounds in such a short time and MCS has been agile enough to grow with these changes, enabling us to not only migrate to a leading ICT framework, but to also push the boundaries in the ways that we use current industry standard and emerging systems.

Provided Student Devices:

  • Years 11 & 12: iPad Pro 12.9” with keyboard and Apple Pencil
  • Years 7-10: iPad Pro 10.5”
  • Years 5 & 6: iPad Air (6th Gen)
  • Prep to Year 4: classrooms run a 1:2 (1 device per 2 students) iPad Air program

  • Utilising ICT at MCS is about encouraging our school community to be responsible digital citizens, part of this is allowing students to take ownership, which is key.

In the words of Phill Nosworthy “I forfeit the right to lead others, when I fail to lead myself”. Our students are our leaders of tomorrow, leading today, leading digitally.
